A modern armchair inspired by the nature of the sea - Insidherland

Between Waves is a sofa that celebrates the simplicity of the natural world and the pleasure of inaccessible luxury. Erected as a trophy by four hand-carved horns covered in gold leaf, Between Waves values the concept of protection as a shell that contains a delicate and unprotected essence. Like sand streaked by receding foam, this protective surrounding shell is ribbed in a sand hue lacquered to a semi-matte finish. The angular hardness of rocks is reflected in the geometry of the broken volume and in every precisely carved edge skillfully executed. As in nature, each joint is appreciated for its irregularity. Loose cushions made of cotton velvet in ocean shades, stealing the soft touch of perfectly polished stones, contrast with the exquisite interior covered in gold leaf.

Powerful correlation of spiritual memories and creative furniture designs are synonymous with the Portuguese brand. Insidherland was entirely created by Joanne Santos Barbosa in 2012 and reflects high-quality luxury.

I am deeply convinced that I am not a creator of objects, but a fearless sculptor of dreams. My designs forge a unique vision that combines the wild side of nature’s wonders with a refined lifestyle inspired by artistic influences.

Every creation is endowed with narrative and symbolism, and my Land is a creative space where anything can happen and everything is possible. Mountains transform into incredible armchairs, trees into mysterious cabinets, architectural details are captured through geometric lighting, and even a painting is reimagined on an exquisite table.

Meticulously crafted using traditional techniques by my team of Portuguese masters and jewelers, each personal influence becomes a one-of-a-kind work of art.
