This is an artistic project born from the imagination of Giampaolo Barbin. This man contributed the heritage of one of the oldest Venetian families, associated with glassmaking.
Models of this brand are unique thanks to the synergy of many equally important elements. These include the harmony of detail, the use of innovative manufacturing techniques, sophisticated and modern design, and strong interaction between top designers and glassmakers.
iMuranesi is currently a popular international company that combines modernity with traditional values of Venetian glassmaking.
Behind this modern model, however, lies experience dating back to the Middle Ages. At that time, the authorities of the Venetian Republic decided to concentrate all glass artisans in one place. To this day, the name of this place is known worldwide, and the products originating from there delight crowds.
Barbini is one of the well-known medieval families. These glassmakers established their presence on the island of Murano as early as the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, by decree of the Council of Ten, the Barbini family was included in the Golden Book of the Murano Society of Distinction, which is a list of the most renowned glassmakers in Venice.
Additionally, the Barbini family was granted a coat of arms at that time – featuring two bearded wise men looking at each other with a star above their heads on a blue background – which can still be seen today in the Murano Glass Museum.
