This is an artistic project born from the imagination of Giampaolo Barbini. This man brought with him the legacy of one of the oldest Venetian families associated with glassmaking.
The models of this brand are unique thanks to the synergy of many equally important elements. This includes the harmony of detail, the use of innovative creation techniques, sophisticated and modern design, and strong interaction between the best designers and glassmakers.
iMuranesi is now a popular international company that combines modernity with the traditional values of Venetian glassmaking.
Behind this modern model, however, lies experience that dates back to medieval times. Back then, the authorities of the Venetian Republic decided to gather all glassmaking artisans in one place. To this day, the name of this place is recognized worldwide, and the products originating from there captivate many.

The Barbini family is one of the well-known medieval families. These glassmakers marked their presence on the island of Murano as early as the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, by decree of the Consiglio dei Dieci council, the Barbini family was placed in the Golden Book of the Nobility of Murano Society, a list of the most distinguished glassmakers in Venice.
Additionally, the Barbini family was granted a coat of arms at that time – two heads of bearded sages facing each other with a star above them on a blue background – which can still be seen at the Glass Museum in Murano.
