The origins of the New York-based company Warp & Weft date back to 2001, when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company unlike any other.
Materials used include Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettle, hemp, and linen. Natural raw materials are also used during dyeing, which will surely appeal to those who care about an eco-friendly processing of materials.
Each product is handmade in Nepal by highly talented artisans. The rugs are then transported to Switzerland, where they are finished to achieve their final appearance. Thanks to a higher amount of lanolin, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and gain a beautiful sheen.
