The New York company's first steps took place in 2001, when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company unlike any other. Wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettle, hemp, and linen are used in rug production. Plants also participate in the dyeing process, which will appeal to eco-conscious enthusiasts of natural raw material processing.
Each product is made in Nepal, where highly skilled weavers craft them by hand. Then, the rugs are transported to Switzerland, where they are finished to achieve their final appearance. Thanks to a higher lanolin content, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a unique shine.
