Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and ancient tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the modern design of Sartori rugs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These elegant rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it required opening a headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Following collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, aligned with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, repainted, and hand-sewn. In this way, a unique and very special rug is created, combining noble materials and perfectly suited to contemporary environments and modern furniture needs.
All our rugs are entirely handcrafted using exceptionally noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori. Today, Sartori is an international brand selling high-quality, valuable rugs worldwide and serving as a benchmark for Italian-made designer rugs. Our rugs are made from wool and banana silk.
