Sartori is an Italian company born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and a centuries-old tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling stylish rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, the second in Rovigo, for home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when Sartori's innovative rug designs began gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These elegant rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a coveted item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening a headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following a collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: repurposing old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and sewn by hand. This process results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that fits perfectly into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.

All our rugs are entirely handmade using exceptionally noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
