Odegard Carpets implements the highest quality standards throughout the entire production process. This is achieved not only by selecting top-grade materials but also — and perhaps most importantly — by a strong ecological awareness. It is this consciousness that influences the complex process of product creation.
Odegard Carpets began operations in 1987, revolutionizing the traditional world of weaving craftsmanship. They use Himalayan wool from local sheep for their production. These sheep graze at altitudes above 14,000 feet above sea level. Their wool is rich in lanolin, making these rugs more resistant to dirt.
Interesting colors are the result of manual processing and dyeing. The designers draw inspiration from Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and nature. Many patterns are inspired by tropical leaf shapes or the colors of the sunset over the majestic Himalayas.
All Odegard Carpets rugs are handmade from carefully selected silk and Himalayan wool yarns. The dyeing process is entirely natural. Organic materials (nuts, roots, or saffron) are used, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
