Odegard Carpets was founded in 1987, revolutionizing the traditional weaving craft world. It uses Himalayan wool from sheep grazing at over 14,000 feet above sea level. Their wool is rich in lanolin, which makes Odegard Carpets rugs more stain-resistant.
Interesting colors are the result of manual processing and dyeing. Inspirations for creating the rugs include Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and nature. Many motifs are inspired by tropical leaf shapes or the colors of the sunset over the snowy peaks of the Himalayas.
All OC rugs are handmade from silk and Himalayan wool yarns. The wool dyeing process is entirely natural. Only organic materials such as nuts, roots, or saffron are used, maintaining the highest quality standards.
