In the 1950s, when Sartori’s innovative rug designs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it became necessary to open a headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Following a collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that fits perfectly into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.
