The New York-based company was founded in 2001 by Michael Mandapati.
Materials used for the rugs include, for example, Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, nettle, hemp, and linen. The primary method of dyeing involves plant-based dyes, which is a very eco-friendly process and will appeal to all who care about sustainability.
All products are made in Nepal, where highly talented artisans craft them by hand. The rugs are then transported to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to an increased content of lanolin, these products are softer, more stain-resistant, and have a remarkable sheen.
