The origins of Warp & Weft in New York date back to 2001. It was then that Michael Mandapati decided to establish an exclusive company.
The rugs are made using Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, nettles, hemp, and linen. For dyeing, mainly plants are used, which will surely appeal to those who care about ecology.
All products are handcrafted in Nepal by highly skilled workers. Then, the rugs are sent to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to an increased amount of lanolin, these products are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a distinctive shine.
