The origins of Warp & Weft in New York date back to 2001. It was then that Michael Mandapati decided to establish an exclusive company.
Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, nettles, hemp, and linen are used in the production of the rugs. For dyeing, mainly plants are used, which will surely appeal to those who care about ecology.
All products are made in Nepal, where highly skilled workers craft them by hand. Then, the rugs are shipped to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to an increased amount of lanolin, these products are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a distinctive shine.
