The origins of the New York-based W&W company date back to 2001. It was then that Michael Mandapati decided to establish this extraordinary place.
Materials used include Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, nettles, hemp, and linen, with most dyes derived from plants. This represents a very eco-friendly processing method and will surely appeal to all who care about sustainability.
All products are made in Nepal, where highly skilled artisans craft them by hand. The rugs are then shipped to Switzerland, where they are finished to achieve their final appearance. Thanks to an increased content of lanolin, these rugs are softer, more stain-resistant, and gain a unique shine.
