The Visconti brand is an Italian company producing luxury goods, founded in 1988 in Florence by Dante Del Vecchio and Luigi Poli, who were passionate collectors of fountain pens. Aspiring to become their own manufacturers of these exquisite writing instruments, they set out to create their own line.
In the 1990s, Visconti developed a high-vacuum filling system (1993), a travel fountain pen (1997), and a double reservoir filling system (1998), which consisted of a dual-chamber filling mechanism to prevent leaks.
By 2012, Visconti had exported its prestigious products to over 50 countries worldwide, selling 50,000 pens annually.
The company is known for using celluloid to craft its accessories, adding details made of titanium, gold, diamond, ebonite, and acrylic fiber. Handcrafted Visconti fountain pens have been appreciated for their quality and superb craftsmanship. The product line has evolved over time, with several collections launched since its inception.
