The Visconti brand is an Italian company producing luxury goods, founded in 1988 in Florence by Dante Del Vecchio and Luigi Poli, who were passionate collectors of fountain pens. Aspiring to be their own manufacturers, they set out to create their own high-quality writing instruments.
In the 1990s, Visconti developed a high-vacuum filling system (1993), a travel fountain pen (1997), and a double reservoir filling system (1998), which consisted of a dual-chamber refill system to prevent leaks.
By 2012, Visconti had exported its stylish products to over 50 countries worldwide, selling 50,000 pens annually.
The company is known for using cellulose acetate in its accessories, adding details made of titanium, gold, diamond, ebonite, and acrylic fiber.
