Visconti is an Italian luxury goods company founded in 1988 in Florence by Dante Del Vecchio and Luigi Poli, who were passionate collectors of fountain pens. Aspiring to be their own manufacturers, they set out to create their own line of luxury fountain pens.
In the 1990s, Visconti developed a high-vacuum filling system (1993), a travel inkpot (1997), and a double reservoir filling system (1998), which consisted of a dual-chamber filling system to prevent leaks.
By 2012, Visconti had exported its stylish products to over 50 countries worldwide, selling 50,000 pens annually.
The company is known for using cellulose acetate in its accessories, adding details made of titanium, gold, diamond, ebonite, and acrylic fiber.
