Master engraver Heinrich Arlt, a citizen of northern Bohemia, and his family decided to move to Arnstadt after the Second World War.
One of the key reasons for this decision was to enable the continuation of traditional glass-related trade. Heinrich started the crystal forming business in 1947.
The small family business gradually expanded its operations and changed its location, thus it is no longer situated in Arnstadt itself but has been moved to the north of the city. The business thrives to this day under the care of the founder's daughter, Gerda Heller.
