Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and a centuries-old tradition of hand-tied knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling exquisite carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, as the modern design of Sartori carpets gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These exciting carpets gained recognition worldwide, becoming a coveted item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open a headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Building on collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: repurposing old carpets to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This gave rise to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that fits perfectly into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.
