Description

Antique Burnt Bronze Fire Gilded 9-Light Church Chandelier; although this 19th-century model contradicts the liturgical reference in the form inspired by a votive lamp hanging on chains, the decorative richness of the golden floral elements makes it a valuable piece of furniture perfectly suited for an elegant setting.

It begins with a shallow dish decorated with embossed palm motifs, from which nine cast arms extend; six hold long candles with cast sconces adorned with crystal pendants and bobeiges with Rocaille rosettes, while the remaining three chains supporting the structure are composed of cast leaf-shaped elements connected to a central cast quatrefoil-shaped cup.

The lower cup is illuminated by three additional internal lights to better highlight the intricate crown of leaves from which it is topped.

Gilded with fire gilt, this elegant chandelier comes from a private residence, is of Piedmontese origin, but is strongly influenced by French design; it dates from the early 19th century and is in excellent condition, re-electrified.

Luxurious antique furniture and accessories can be an excellent idea for interior decoration. Currently, there is a growing number of enthusiasts for high-quality vintage items that possess a distinct character and soul. This is a nod to history, craftsmanship, and the creation of classic and timeless furniture. There are many different styles in antique furniture, each with its own distinctive features.

Many styles characterize antique furniture, but a few are particularly prominent. Eclectic furniture mainly refers to the 19th century, especially the Biedermeier style. Its early variations include neo-Gothic, Gothic, Rococo, Louis-Philippe style, and the Victorian English style. By the end of the century, these styles evolved into pseudo-classicism, Renaissance, and Baroque influences.

Empire-style furniture and accessories date from the late 18th to early 19th centuries. This style was inspired by Napoleon’s reign, emphasizing Roman and Greek decorative motifs.

Neoclassical furniture, associated with Louis XVI, also draws heavily from ancient architecture. Interesting and noteworthy are antique products in Rococo and Louis XV styles. The Baroque style, derived from the Portuguese word 'barocco'—meaning an irregularly developed pearl—was characterized by highly ornate furniture designed to dazzle with splendor and play a significant role in luxury. Unique materials were selectively used to emphasize the grandeur of these pieces.

Today, we can observe how much the Baroque style influenced modern classical furniture, which is often designed with a strong resemblance to the historical period. An important style is also Renaissance, flourishing in the 15th and 16th centuries, which left a significant mark on furniture craftsmanship. Renaissance furniture was quite heavy and massive, often using brown stains, moldings, sturdy bases, and reliefs. It can be said that these were quite specific products, but they opened new possibilities, such as the construction of cabinets and broadly speaking, chest furniture. Additionally, mythology and ancient times inspired these designs, with supports and legs taking animal forms.

Lion paws, eagle heads—these are common motifs in Renaissance style. Currently, many global brands reproduce furniture inspired by Italian and French creators, reflecting admiration and respect for the history of the most beautiful Renaissance antiques. It’s important to remember that furniture production was perceived differently in each country, giving each style a unique character. This is especially important when searching for a luxurious antique that suits your interior.

The most important aspect of elite antique furniture is originality. This is ultimately crucial for buyers, as the market is flooded with many forgeries. The Luxury Products brand provides documentation confirming the product’s authenticity and compliance with the description and photos. We also have appraisers, art experts, historians, and specialists from around the world at your disposal.
