The Italian brand Mepra was established in 1947, but the entrepreneurial history of the Prandelli family begins many years earlier. In 1901, brothers Bortolo, Francesco, and Giovanbattista founded the first Prandelli family company in the Lumezzane valley on the banks of the Gobbia river to harness the kinetic energy of water to power machinery.

The Mepra company was created in 1947 by the Prandelli brothers. The first factory producing cutlery from 18/10 stainless steel was established in Lumezzane. Over generations, the Prandelli family actively engaged in pursuing this passion. Products from this brand are found on the tables of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants worldwide.
