Description
Gladiolus three-seater sofa, made from solid wood and upholstered with high-density polyurethane foam. Also available in custom sizes, with fabric or leather. Additional options include adjustable pillow firmness and a choice of different wooden legs.
Technical data
Frame: solid beech wood construction, springy thanks to elastic rubber straps.
Structural filling: high-density polyurethane foam with varying densities, an elastic top layer that, combined with the bottom layer, provides increased softness over time.
Seat filling: high-resilience foam with variable density, covered with soft, channelled goose feather. Removable seat cover.
MARIONI is a family story
The brand, now in its third generation, was founded in Florence in 1966 by the founder Paolo Marioni’s intuition. The initial craftsmanship character of the workshop quickly evolved and since the 1980s has taken on its current corporate form. Starting with ceramic materials, the company gradually expanded its interior accessories lines, paying close attention to color combinations, finishes, and decorations. Their objects are linked to creative details and manual craftsmanship.
After Paolo’s premature death in 1992, his son Simone took over the company and led its development and expansion into international markets.
This was the time of the Cultura d’Arredo collection launch, showcasing an extraordinary combination of ceramic/tapestry, which heralded success through precise market positioning: Marioni offers its clients a range of elegant products inspired by the past but with a touch of charm, reflecting the uniqueness, authenticity, and originality of “made in Italy”.
The 2000s brought consolidation of distribution worldwide and the beginning of an organizational and managerial evolution, leading the brand to face new digital challenges, including the creation of its own archive of 3D models ready for AR/VR experiences.
In 2018, Vittoria, the founder’s eldest daughter, joined the company as Head of Communications and Quality, marking further generational evolution. This way, the company brings fifty years of experience into the present, where artisanal production and management concepts are offered to the most sophisticated and demanding clients seeking pure Italian luxury.
