Description

Liberty Lantern made of iron and glass. This lantern represents an artifact of Piedmontese craftsmanship from the early 20th century, an authentic example of the Liberty floral style, in which a polychromed metal structure in the shape of a floral garland is skillfully combined with a glass element.

One light fixture, consisting of three wrought iron posts made from rods decorated with flower and leaf shoots that entwine around them like ivy.

These three brackets hold a central plate with an E27 light socket, on which blue (non-original) tulip-shaped glasses are placed.

Three chains formed from iron wire, twisted at the base with flowers, leaves, and grape clusters, are connected to a central rosette designed for ceiling mounting. All iron parts are lacquered in the original oxidized green color.

Such examples allow for the perfect placement in cozy rooms, hallways, or entrance areas of a Liberty villa.

Beautiful antique furniture and accessories can be an excellent idea for decorating our interiors. Currently, there is a growing number of enthusiasts of high-quality vintage products that have a distinct character and soul. It’s a nod to history, craftsmanship, and the creation of classic and timeless furniture. There are many different styles in antique furniture, each with its own distinctive features.

Several key styles stand out among antique furniture. Eclectic furniture originates from the 19th century, during the reign of the Biedermeier style. Its early 20th-century variants include neo-Gothic, Gothic, Rococo, Louis-Philippe style, and finally the Victorian style. By the end of the century, these styles evolved into pseudo-classicism, Renaissance, and Baroque styles.

Empire-style furniture and accessories date from the late 18th to early 19th century, inspired by Napoleon’s reign, with significant references to Roman and Greek ornamentation.

Neoclassical furniture, associated with Louis XVI, also strongly references ancient architecture. Noteworthy are antique products in Rococo and Louis XV styles. Baroque, whose name derives from the Portuguese 'barocco'—meaning an irregularly developed pearl—was characterized by very ornate furniture designed to dazzle with splendor and serve a luxurious role. Unique, selectively used materials were employed to emphasize the grandeur of these pieces.

Today, we can see how much the Baroque style influenced modern classical furniture, which is often designed with a strong resemblance to the historical period. The Renaissance style also made a significant impact, flourishing in the 15th and 16th centuries and leaving a lasting mark on furniture design. Renaissance furniture was quite heavy and massive, using brown stains, moldings, sturdy bases, and bas-reliefs. These products were quite distinctive but also opened new possibilities, such as the construction of cupboards and broadly defined chest furniture. Mythology and ancient times inspired many elements, with supports and legs often taking animal forms.

Lion’s paws, eagle heads—these are common motifs in Renaissance style. Currently, many global brands reproduce such furniture, drawing inspiration from Italian and French craftsmen. This reflects admiration and respect for the history of the most beautiful Renaissance antiques. It’s important to remember that furniture production was perceived differently in each country, so each style had its own character. This is especially important when searching for an exclusive antique that suits your interior.

The most important aspect of stylish antique furniture is originality. Ultimately, this is crucial for buyers, as many fakes circulate on the market. Luxury Products provides documentation confirming the product’s authenticity and compliance with the description and photos.
