Goti Terrecotte boasts over fifty years of experience born from the owner's strong passion, Giancarlo. Mr. Giancarlo began his journey as a ceramic decorator apprentice, then after marrying Ms. Fiorella Goti, he opened a small artisan workshop in Sesto Fiorentino. The expansion took place within a few years, and in 1973, he achieved progress and established his company in Calenzano, a few kilometers from Florence, Tuscany. The knowledge Giancarlo gained over the years through experimentation with materials and production techniques includes:

- Artistic casting of ceramic art, replacing traditional molding processes

- Use of clay from the Impruneta quarries to produce frost-resistant cookware from clay with a unique family recipe, mixed and kneaded with water to create professional or outdoor food ovens with high-certified resistance and quality of fireproof terracotta, fired at 1040 °C.

A well-equipped laboratory allows for the handmade and personalized creation of jars, tiles, statues, planters, vases, sinks, chimneys, bricks on order, bas-reliefs, and various decorative items. The production department dedicated to wood-fired ovens has enabled Goti Terrecotte to be recognized internationally as a benchmark in the market for fireproof terracotta wood-fired ovens for professional, domestic, and garden use.

The product range, from classic to modern furniture, includes over 1000 items in the catalog. Additionally, the company is prepared to produce items based on drawings or orders. 90% of the production goes to the “garden of clients,” says Giancarlo, owner of Goti Terrecotte d'Autore.

Artifacts are left to cook for 5 days in a dedicated oven at a temperature of 1040 °C. Only careful drying before firing prevents cracking during firing and ensures high mechanical resistance. High quality is guaranteed, certified, and tested in a refractory mass laboratory. Raw materials used for processing come directly from the Impruneta quarries. The clay present in Impruneta gives the finished product a unique color and extraordinary frost resistance.

For this reason, Goti Terrecotte seeks and acquires prestigious Impruneta clay: an unparalleled raw material with remarkable properties, primarily “frost resistance,” meaning water-repellent, capable of withstanding even the lowest temperatures almost indefinitely. Of course, the production process is also refined and more complex, with longer times: Impruneta clay is processed through molding, has very slow drying times, and is fired at extremely high temperatures.
