Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for high-quality design with a traditional heritage of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening their first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the modern rug design by Sartori started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market to the whole world. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following a collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., the innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and very special rug, made from noble materials, perfectly suited to contemporary environments and the needs of modern furniture.
