The Italian brand Mepra was founded in 1947, but the entrepreneurial history of the Prandelli family begins many years earlier. In 1901, brothers Bortolo, Francesco, and Giovanbattista established the first family business Prandelli in the Lumezzane valley on the banks of the Gobbia river to harness kinetic energy from water to power machinery.
