Description
The modern Tarsia table combines marquetry, one of the most extraordinary ancient inlay techniques, with a contemporary touch, signed by Malabar designers. The distinguished tabletop features a mosaic carefully crafted by our masters using rosewood, a dark wood with a rich painterly character.
The gilded finish balances the strong nature of the wood, adding a delicate and elegant final impression. The Tarsia Side Table is part of the Heritage Collection, which embodies the essence of the country, a portrait of a world of cultural elements uniquely rooted in human origins. This heritage provides us today with symbols we are proud to claim as the fruits of our ingenuity.
Malabar was founded in 2012, with the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the stylish World Architects furniture collection. It has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory series.
Malabar has made its mark at major international fairs such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing.
Malabar furniture production comes from the Porto area, in northern Portugal, a region with a long and strong tradition of handcrafted products.
The identity of this luxury brand is based on the national architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.
International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted craftsmanship, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of exclusive furniture.
The use of various techniques in working with natural wood produces incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of the design is the combination of neutral and black colors.
Juicy and vivid hues dominate, significantly diverging from classic and stereotypical furniture.
Besides wood, the brand uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.
The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in bold furniture designs.
The company's name derives from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history after the Cape discovery. The value of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route.
This remains true today, as Malabar continues to define highly individual design boundaries and evoke strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely exclusive.
And these are the products we love and introduce to the My Luxury Products platform.
