The Mikado Collection is inspired by the game "Pick-up sticks," which we played in our childhood. One of the elements is this small table, which will prove to be a masterpiece of the bedroom, adding personality to it. The bedside table features a discreet drawer and many different custom options.
This piece is entirely made in Portugal and produced in an artisanal manner. Every stage of the process is carefully executed or supervised by the author in the context of a small workshop. In 2018, the Mikado Collection won the "Silver A’ Design Award" in the category "Furniture, Decorative Items and Homeware Design."
More than an architect or designer, João Faria is a creator of concepts, original products, luxury furniture, spaces, buildings, and interiors. A connector between the best of two worlds, sometimes as different as modern technology and ancient traditions.
He defines himself as a Furniture Stylist and constantly pushes boundaries to the limits. Since 2013, João has been awarded and recognized as one of the most influential designers in Portugal. And his motto is - Have few things, but have things that make you smile.”
