The first steps of Warp & Weft’s New York operation took place in 2001. It was then that Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company specializing in luxury rugs.
They are made from Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettle, hemp, and linen. These plants are also used for dyeing, which will surely appeal to all eco-conscious consumers.
All products are crafted in Nepal, where highly skilled weavers create them by hand. Afterwards, the rugs are transported to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to increased lanolin content, these products are softer, more stain-resistant, and have a remarkable sheen.
