Model Spill III in the Cloud colorway truly has something of a cloudy sky shrouded in thick clouds. The gray of the rug, however, is not overwhelming, and the use of silk yarn causes beautiful flashes to shine through the gray.
Although everyday objects are often pushed to the margins, W&W products are a perfect example that they can be as beautiful as the most exquisite symphony. Delicate yet durable, soft, shiny, stain-resistant, and one of a kind – these are exactly W&W rugs.
The origins of the New York-based company Warp & Weft date back to 2001. It was then that Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company unlike any other.
They use Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettles, hemp, and linen for production. Most of the dyeing process involves plant-based dyes, which will surely appeal to those who care about the environment.
All products are made in Nepal, where highly skilled artisans craft them by hand. Then, the rugs are sent to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining their final appearance. Thanks to a higher content of lanolin, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and have a beautiful sheen.
