Sartori is an Italian company born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and a long tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when Sartori’s innovative carpet designs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its market design to the whole world. These luxurious carpets gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that a headquarters in China was established. A very important project was launched in 2008. Since collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea has paved the way: using old carpets to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and very special carpet, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits contemporary environments and the needs of modern furniture.
Absolutely all our carpets are handcrafted entirely using high-quality noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori. Today, Sartori is an international manufacturer selling high-quality, valuable carpets worldwide and serving as a benchmark for Italian-designed carpets.
