Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and ancient tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, as the modern design of Sartori rugs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market worldwide. These exciting rugs gained recognition across the globe, becoming a coveted item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that a headquarters was opened in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, aligned with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly suits contemporary environments and the needs of modern furniture.
