Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for good design combined with ancient traditions of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening his first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when Sartori’s innovative rug designs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its Italian market designs worldwide. These exciting rugs gained recognition across the globe, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open a headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.

Absolutely all our rugs are entirely handcrafted using exceptionally noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
