Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when Sartori's innovative carpet designs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open a headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Following a collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: repurposing old carpets to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, aligned with a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and highly distinctive rug, made from noble materials and perfectly suited to contemporary environments and modern furniture needs.
