Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when Sartori’s innovative carpet designs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its market design to the whole world. These luxurious carpets gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that a headquarters was opened in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea paved the way: using old carpets to create something completely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn.
