Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for good design and a long tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling wonderful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, for home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when the modern design of Sartori rugs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its Italian market designs worldwide. These luxurious rugs gained recognition across the globe, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that a headquarters was opened in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and sewn by hand. This process results in a unique and very special rug, a synthesis of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.
