Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling wonderful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, as the modern pattern of Sartori carpets gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These elegant carpets gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following a collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved the way: using old carpets to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and sewn by hand.
