Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and a long tradition of handcrafted knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, the second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when the innovative Sartori rug pattern started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These exciting rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. In this way, a unique and very special rug is created—a noble material blend that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.
