Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for high-quality design and a long tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling stylish rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, as the modern design of Sartori rugs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. These exciting rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Since collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., the innovative idea has paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and very special rug, a noble material blend that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.
