Made entirely from wild silk from Dandong with a weave density of 120 knots, the Plum model features a pattern inspired by flora. The motif depicts a blooming plum tree with delicate flowers.
Fort Street Studio was built from nothing by a talented duo – Janis Provisor and Brad Davis. It was they who decided to bring their passion for art into the realm of interior design. Previously, their works were exhibited at places like the Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum, and Albright Knox Gallery.
Thanks to the immense creativity and exceptional skills of this duo, a completely different company was born. Its concepts are based on original, interesting patterns and carefully selected materials. Fort Street Studio – named after the street where the founders once lived – has been setting new trends in interior decoration for twenty years. FSS has showcased its products at fairs in Paris, London, and Milan, and in 2010, it began collaborating with the Hermès department store.
The main strengths of the Fort Street Studio brand are the noble quality of silk yarns and threads, a unique approach to dyeing, as well as meticulous color matching. Every carpet piece bearing the FSS logo is a kind of artwork, a synergy of artistic power and functional aesthetics.
