The secrets and techniques of master glassmakers, combined with collaborations with the most renowned Italian and international interior decorators over the years, have charted the success of many of their collections.

Company Philosophy and Image

Today, Yalos Murano is a well-known brand in traditional glass production; offering furniture, style, and design solutions for contemporary living, showcasing the versatility of glass and its many facets. Equipped with color and the most innovative lines, appreciating changing and fleeting light reflections of unique and one-of-a-kind objects, the ability to connect one's personality with the object provides the most direct experience of each of their creations.

Nomads yet rooted in their origins, Ferro, after the devastating plague of 1630 that decimated the local population, including glassmakers, returned to Murano and soon became among the local notables as Deputies of the island, holding this prestigious position 27 times during the 18th century.

Belonging to the local productive elite and a vital family, Ferro was part of the Gastaldi Major school of San Nicolò, which gathers artisans and master glassmakers and manages the glassworks. Moreover, their coat of arms is engraved twice on the Osella, a coin minted by the Venetian mint specifically for the Murano community.

As if representing their dual nature, the Ferro family crest features an anchor, symbolizing stability and a connection to the land, as well as an irreplaceable tool of the comet during voyages and adventures at sea. From Leonardo Ferro, a skilled master, comes the Ferro Florian line, a significant group of glassmakers from the late 19th century—fertile and numerous—whose legacy continues today with glassworks bearing their name. Yalos Murano glassworks, following ongoing research and experimentation that historically distinguished it in artistic glass production, now presents a new challenge: Murano glass panels of various sizes, changing colors, numerous decorations, and unique, valuable combinations on the exterior.
