Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and a long tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling exquisite rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, as Sartori’s modern rug designs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These luxurious rugs gained worldwide recognition, becoming coveted items in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so significantly that a headquarters was established in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly suits contemporary environments and modern furniture needs.
All our rugs are handcrafted using high-quality noble materials and are born from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
