Description

Curling, twisting, and weaving thin metal threads create a sublimated artistic expression called Filigree. This ancient craft, performed by only a few experienced artisans who today reproduce this technique, is proudly showcased on the modern Viana vanity.

This delicate jewelry has been applied to the Viana legs, which, in addition to the silver filigree, also feature all the lines of traditional Portuguese furniture. The ombré effect creates a color transition from black to white, and the high-gloss lacquered finish adds a classic charm. Inside, a luminous burgundy velvet surrounds the woman's best friends in perfect condition.

The Malabar brand was founded in 2012, with the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and a collection of stylish furniture by World Architects. It has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory collections.

Malabar has left its mark at the most prestigious international fairs, such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, or Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing.

Malabar furniture production comes from the Porto area, in northern Portugal, a region with a long and strong tradition of handcrafted products.

The identity of this prestigious brand is based on the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.

International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotions, craftsmanship, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of luxurious furniture.

Various techniques of working with natural wood produce incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of the design is the combination of neutral and black colors.

Juicy and vivid hues dominate, significantly diverging from classic and stereotypical furniture.

In addition to wood, the manufactory uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.

The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in bold furniture designs.

The company's name itself derives from the black pepper Malabar. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The value of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route.

This remains true today, as Malabar continues to define highly individual design boundaries and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely luxurious.

And these are exactly the products we love and introduce to the My Luxury Products platform.

What raw materials does Malabar use in its production?

The brand uses the most exclusive types of wood. These include: ebony, walnut, American walnut, oak, ironwood, elm, basswood, olive wood, bird’s eye, irregular, poplar, satinwood, and ash.

Malabar also employs ancient lacquer techniques. First, copper, gold, silver, pink, and tiger-colored leaflets are applied, then lacquered.

The marble varieties are diverse, including: Sahara, Gray Kenzo, Nero Marquina, Portoro, Gris Douro, Black Gold, Guatemala Verde, Tiger Skin, Ochre, Calacatta Vagli, Estremoz, Carrara Gold, Carrara, White Extremez, and Travertine.

Precisely: chrome, nickel-plated black brass, polished brass, gold-plated brass, polished copper, antique brass, silver brass, brushed brass, polished brushed brass, brass, and hammered polished copper.

We are happy to arrange a meeting and present all available materials about the Malabar brand. Our Luxury Products team will advise and select the most suitable furnishings and accessories for your interiors.
