At the end of the 1920s, a new era of truck production began at the Daimler-Benz factory in Gaggenau. Their plans were calculated and diverse. In 1932, they introduced their first series of trucks, which were standardly equipped with a diesel engine. It was a bold initiative and it paid off. In a short time, the diesel engine replaced the widely used Otto engine of that era. Due to its high reliability and efficiency, the diesel engine became the benchmark for all other truck engines. Thanks to the new fleet of trucks, which could be easily adapted and customized, a new era in road transport was born.

After the global economic crisis of the late 1920s, a revival of industry was lurking everywhere. Daimler-Benz AG did not waste time developing new, innovative commercial vehicles at their factory in Gaggenau, which gained fame for its technical efficiency and reliability. The offer of diesel-powered trucks at that time was nothing short of revolutionary.

Based on our replica of the racing car transporter LO 2750, we present this 2.75-ton flatbed truck of the LO 2750 type. Solid, compact, and equipped with an economical 65 HP diesel engine, it was a popular means of transport for medium and small businesses in the 1930s. Thanks to its spacious, easily accessible cargo area and a maximum load capacity of up to 2.75 tons, this truck could meet almost any transportation need.

Between 1933 and 1936, approximately 3,500 units of the LO 2750 with diesel engines rolled off the assembly lines of Daimler-Benz in northern Schwarzwald.
