The brand emerged in the late 1980s, revolutionizing the world of weaving craftsmanship. It uses high-quality Himalayan wool sourced from the fleece of local sheep. These sheep graze at altitudes above 14,000 feet above sea level. Their wool is rich in lanolin, which makes Odegard Carpets rugs more resistant to dirt.
The saturated shades are the result of manual processing and dyeing. Inspirations are drawn from Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and nature. Many motifs are inspired by tropical leaf shapes or the colors of the setting sun over the snowy peaks of the Himalayas.
All OC products are handmade from carefully selected silk and Himalayan wool yarns. The dyeing process is 100% natural. Organic materials — such as nuts, roots, or saffron — are used, maintaining the highest quality standards.
