The New York brand's first steps date back to 2001, when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company specializing in luxury rugs.
Their production uses Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettles, hemp, and linen. For dyeing, mainly plants are used, which will surely appeal to those who care about ecology.
Each product is made in Nepal, where highly skilled artisans craft them by hand. Then, the rugs are shipped to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to an increased amount of lanolin, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a distinctive shine.
