Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for good design and a long tradition of handcrafted knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling exquisite rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, as the modern design of Sartori rugs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These luxurious rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it required opening headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Since collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea has paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and give them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This led to the creation of the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and sewn by hand. In this way, a unique and very special rug is created, combining noble materials and perfectly suited to contemporary environments and modern furniture needs.
All our rugs are handcrafted entirely using high-quality noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori. Today, Sartori is an international brand that sells high-quality, valuable rugs worldwide and is a benchmark for Italian-designed rugs. The rugs are made from wool and banana silk.
