Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when Sartori's innovative rug designs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its Italian market design to the whole world. These luxurious rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a coveted item in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it required opening headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern idea took shape: repurposing old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, aligned with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special rug, made from noble materials and perfectly suited to contemporary environments and modern furniture needs.

Absolutely all our rugs are handcrafted entirely using exceptionally noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
