Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto from a passion for high-quality design combined with ancient traditions of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling exquisite rugs in Verona, opening their first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when Sartori’s innovative rug designs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its Italian market designs worldwide. These luxurious rugs gained recognition across the globe, becoming coveted items in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that it became necessary to open headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Building on collaborations with Diesel S.p.a., this innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, aligned with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and highly distinctive rug, crafted from noble materials and perfectly suited to contemporary environments and modern furniture needs.
