For Italian craftsmen, working in harmony holds sentimental value, allowing them to rediscover the concept of quality by enhancing their products.
Zanetto is a company founded in 1963 by Bernardo Zanetto, who from a young age was interested in working with precious metals.
He dedicated a great deal of his free time to observing the work of Italian artists in workshops located in the heart of Padua.
When he turned 14, he landed his dream job in one of them - his exceptional potential was immediately noticed. Determined and possessing an astounding talent, he eventually decided to start his own business. Not long after, he achieved his first distinction - a gold medal at the International Handicrafts Trade Fair in Florence. Collaborating with other craft enthusiasts, his workshop developed rapidly and progressively and is recognized worldwide!
The Zanetto manufactory fruit knife is finished with a special PVD technique and adorned with Aghi texture.
An item finished with this technique boasts remarkable resistance to wear and scratches, surface hardness, corrosion and UV resistance, and one of the main advantages is the low process temperature that does not cause thermal deformation (a typical PVD layer lasts about 10 years). This process is environmentally friendly as it is conducted in a vacuum, and products plated with this technique can achieve any gold color with a uniformly applied layer.
