Since 1919, the Japanese company Platinum has been associated with luxury writing instruments. Its range includes a full selection of fountain pens made from materials such as resin, ebonite, celluloid, carbon fiber, silver, gold, and even platinum. Recognized as one of the most serious manufacturers of writing accessories in Japan, it has patented many technical solutions, such as the latest unique 'Slip & Seal' system, which prevents unused pens from drying out for up to two years. And that’s not all – it was the first to introduce ink cartridges for fountain pens!
The Gathered pen is designed to prevent slipping from the hand. Additionally, the grooving along the body acts like a radiator in a car, preventing the air inside the pen from overheating, which results in a smooth ink flow! This is the first pen in the history of fountain pen manufacturing to be designed this way.
