The Italian manufacturer Saladini offers reliable kitchen accessories with forged blades. Each product features an engraved manufacturer logo, which serves as a mark of authenticity and a guarantee of quality.

Marking is done during craftwork, when the blade is not yet hardened.

Saladini is very selective in choosing steel – mainly uses hardened stainless steel with high or 100% carbon content.

For manufacturing blades, Saladini uses two processes: rolling and forging.

The rolling method is used to create knife blades, cigar closing cutters, and certain lines of table knives. These blades are cut from steel sheets, whose thickness depends on the intended use of the knife.

Forged blades, which are more complex to produce, are made using hammer and anvil, and are used for kitchen and table knives as well as collector's items. Hand forging allows for creating the proper shapes of blades, bolsters, and pommels, which are then fitted into the handle.

After quenching, both types of blades are hardened and annealed during heat treatment, which, depending on the steel composition, determines the correct hardness for an optimal cutting edge.
