Anna Wilk is a graduate of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Silesia. She has received numerous awards for her work in prestigious competitions. Among the more notable are:

-Main Award named after Bolesław Barbacki, ZPAP Salon Nowy Sącz 2018

-Distinction from the Artistic Journal “Format” from Wrocław

-Starost of Częstochowa Award for the series of paintings titled “Fe2O3”, M. Michalik Competition in Częstochowa 2018

-Research scholarship from the Rector of the University of Silesia for the best student, 2011/2012

Anna Wilk’s work has been recognized by art critics. An article titled “About the screw that became the nail of the program” dedicated to her painting was published in the prestigious art magazine “Format”. (Art magazine Format, no. 79-80, p. 49)

"Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the beautiful wooden house where my grandparents lived. Whenever I visited them, I would first head to the attic, which was accessible via winding stairs. Under the weight of my steps, the tired wood emitted quiet creaking sounds. I always felt that the pre-war house had its own history and 'soul.' In the middle of the attic was a tiny room, made of raw wooden beams intertwined with straw braids. I would lie down on a large, comfortable bed and begin to contemplate the wooden wrinkles of time, admiring their indentations, cracks, surrounded by openwork holes made by woodworms. These memories still live within me today and stimulate my imagination... ” Anna Wilk
